Chatham · Medway · Kent — and out to Europe

Chatham removals, measured and made clear.

We’re a Medway removals firm that shows its working. Every move — a two-bed off Luton Road, an office on Chatham Maritime, a family heading for the Algarve — runs through the same five plain stages, and you see each one coming. No mystery, no price plucked from the air.

Written quotes only. We look at the job before we talk numbers.

How a move runs

One move, five stages — grouped the way we actually work

We don’t sort our services by van size or price band. We sort them by where you are in the move, because that’s the order the work happens in and the order your worry happens in.

  1. 01

    Survey

We scope the volume, the access and the parking before a single box is packed.

Wrapped, boxed and listed — as much or as little as you want us doing.

  3. 03

    Load

Protected, sequenced and loaded so the van comes off in the right order.

What a Chatham move covers

Six things every move leans on. This is the shape of what we handle — the wider the reach, the more of it sits with our own crews rather than a partner.

The international arm

Removals from Chatham to Europe

When a Medway move turns into a European one, the origin doesn’t change — the paperwork and the route do. We run four corridors regularly and know each one’s crossings and customs.

Why the fuss about “showing the working”

The number should never be a surprise

Most complaints about removals come down to one thing: a price or a promise that didn’t match the day. We’d rather spend twenty minutes up front than lose your trust on the doorstep. So we survey properly, we write down what’s included, and we tell you what would change the figure before it changes.

That means being honest about the awkward bits too — the piano that needs three people and a strap, the Rochester loft conversion with a staircase built for nobody carrying a mattress, the Strood cul-de-sac where the lorry parks at the top and we shuttle down. None of that is a problem. Pretending it isn’t there until the morning of the move is the problem.

Answers

Straight answers, before you ask

Do you cover all of Medway, or just Chatham?

All of it. Chatham is where we’re based, but a normal week has us in Gillingham (ME7, ME8), across the river in Strood and Rochester (ME1, ME2), and out to Rainham. If you can see the Medway towns from your window, you’re in our patch.

How do you work out a quote without seeing the house?

We start from what you tell us — rooms, floors, lift or stairs, anything heavy or fragile — then confirm it with a video walk-round or a visit before anything is fixed. Volume, distance and access are what move the number, and we’d rather see the job than guess it. Your written quote sets out what’s included.

Can you handle a move abroad as well as a local one?

Yes. The same crew that clears a two-bed in Luton Road also loads for France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The international side adds a route plan and customs paperwork on top of the ordinary packing and loading — we handle that part for you.

What if I only need help with part of the move?

That’s common. Plenty of people pack their own boxes and just want the muscle and the van for the day, or want us to wrap the fragile things and leave the rest. Tell us where you want the line drawn and we’ll price only that.

Tell us about the move

Send the shape of it — where from, where to, roughly how much. We read every one and reply by email with the next step. No price lands before we understand the job.
